Inside Our Client Closet Boudoir Studio Wardrobe
What if you didn’t have to stress about what to wear for your boudoir session? At Black Dress Boudoir, we’ve got you covered… literally. I can’t even tell you how many times I’ve said “I’m not going because I have nothing to wear,” and our clients are no different. Finding the perfect pieces, especially if you’re not a lingerie girlie, can feel like a daunting hurdle and just another reason to push a session onto the “not right now” list.
Cue my shopping problem and the reason our inclusive client closet exists. It’s stocked with beautiful pieces in sizes XS to 6X, with a wide range of options, colors, and custom body jewelry pieces, all designed to make you feel like your most confident, sexy self. I created this closet to take the stress and frustration out of planning your session so you can focus on showing up and feeling incredible.
Your session should look and feel like you. Whatever that is.
Lace bodysuits, soft romantic sets, or spicier strappy multi-piece looks all live in our client closet, giving you space to lean into whatever version of yourself you want to show up as that day. There’s no pressure to fit into one style or start in one specific place, it’s all about what feels right and what your vision is for your session.
We’ll build your looks based on how you’re feeling that day, the colors you’re drawn to, and what you love most about your body, whether that shows up as easing into things slowly or starting right away with something with a bit more spice.
One my favorite parts of our client closet is our body jewelry collection. These are custom, hand-made crystal pieces designed to catch light and shine bright like a diamond. (Anyone else say that in Rihanna’s voice) These pieces aren’t just accessories, they completely change the energy of a look while still keeping the focus exactly where it should be, on you.
Bridal Styling
Our brides to be LOVE surprising their spouse to be with the perfect, sexy album, which calls for the perfect outfit!
Most of our brides include at least one classic bridal look, but the rest of their session is all about what feels the most like them. Our closet includes both traditional pieces like veils and white lingerie, and options that feel a little more unique, including black veils and looks that go beyond the typical bridal vibe.
Non-lingerie Options
Lingerie not your thing? No worries. Wearing lingerie is never required. Our client closet also includes pieces like tanks and button-ups for a softer, more natural feel. These are perfect if you want something that feels a little more like you. Some of our favorite images come from keeping it simple, or even skipping outfits altogether and using the satin sheets. It’s always a whole vibe, looks so good on camera, keeping the focus on what matters most, YOU!
How the Client Closet Works
One of the biggest benefits of using our client closet is how much it takes off your plate. There’s no required shopping on your end unless you want to. Before your session, we’ll talk through your style, comfort level, and what you’re drawn to so you already have a direction going in. When you arrive, you’ll have full access to the closet and we’ll build out looks together, trying things on, mixing pieces, and creating looks you love! The only thing you’ll need to bring is a nude and black thong, everything else is here and ready for you.
Want to Bring Something of Your Own?
If you have pieces you love or something sentimental you want to include, you’re absolutely welcome to bring them. That could be a favorite outfit, a pair of heels, your partner’s hat, shirt, or jersey, or even a piece of jewelry that means something to you. A lot of clients do a mix of both.
If you do want to shop, you’re not on your own with that either! I’ll guide you through it and you’ll get a full wardrobe guide with suggestions, styling tips, and some of my favorite places to shop so you’re not guessing or wasting money on things that won’t work.
