You’ve booked your boudoir session—now what? One important thing to consider is what to wear before your boudoir session to ensure you feel comfortable and confident when you arrive. The answer to this is simple—your PJ’s! Yep, you read that right. Cozy, comfy, no-restrictions loungewear is the best outfit choice when walking into your session. But why?
When you arrive at Black Dress Boudoir, we want to make sure your skin is looking flawless and photo-ready. Tight or restrictive clothing—like bras, socks, leggings, or even snug waistbands—can leave deep red marks or indentations that take hours to fade. And let’s be real, no one wants to wait around for their skin to settle when they could be getting glammed up instead!
So here’s your session-day checklist:
✔ Loose, comfy clothing – Think oversized shirts, flowy joggers, or even a robe. Bonus points if it’s cute and makes you feel good!
✔ Ditch the tight undergarments – That means no bras, no tight socks, and definitely no leggings that leave seams on your waist.
✔ Watch out for accessories – Smartwatches, hair ties on your wrist (we see you and we are you!), and snug jewelry can also leave marks. Best to take them off beforehand! If jewelry is part of your accessory list don’t forget to add those to your go bag.
✔ Fresh-faced is best – Arrive with a clean, moisturized face so we can start your hair and makeup with a fresh canvas.
Following these simple tips will help you feel (and look!) your absolute best from the very first shot. And don’t worry—once you’re in the studio, we’ll have a whole wardrobe of stunning pieces waiting for you to slip into. So keep it comfy on arrival, and we’ll take care of the rest!
